Easy going is Myke Myer’s comedy “The Love Guru”. Like always we present new Asian beats.

Susheela Raman, Equal-I mix

On 4 March Susheela Raman performed at the Brotfabrik in Frankfurt. The British-Indian artist was born in London to Tamil parents and grew up in Australia. At the age of 24 she returned to London and found herself in den middle of the Asian Underground scene. Susheela Raman started to produce with Sam Mills, her later partner. She recorded four albums so far, the last one called 33 1/3. Nitin Sawheny chose two of her songs for the soundtrack of the Mira Nair film “The Namesake”. We spoke with Susheela Raman after the concert. We are also happy to present a mix of our dear friend Equal-I in this show.

Goa filmfestival

The Goa film festival is one of the most important festivals in Asia, presenting film from all over the world. One issue of the 38th Goa film festival from the 29 November to 9 December is Hungary. But of course many Asian films, particularily Indian films will be screened. We will speak to Christoph Rau from Location Germany about his visit to the Goa film festival.

Films, music party

In this show we will talk about the films “Om Shanti Om“, „Darjeeling Limited” and “Comrades in Dreams”. Anoushka Shankar and Karlsh Kale produced an album called “Breathing Under Water”. We will also announce our appearance the 4th anniversary party at Hafen2 in Offenbach. At the DAM an exhibition shows the 19th century Calcutta. And last but not least we will play the newest Asian beats from around the world.
