New documentaries are an integral part of our festival as well as of the Indian Independent Film. Ulrike Mothes talks about new developments.


New documentaries are an integral part of our festival as well as of the Indian Independent Film. What characterizes the current Indian documentary films? Which impact do the immense changes in society and the social structures have on the narratives of the documentaries? Ow does the international exchange affect the Indian documentary scene? Film lecturer and documentary filmmaker Ulrike Mothes will explore these questions together with our audience. In 2010 Ulrike Mothes curated our short film program.

Ulrike Mothes (PhD) is a film lecturer and filmmaker. Since 2010 she is teaching film at the Bauhaus Universität Weimar.
